Dr Kramer and his team (Yessica...a shout out to you too) were great. I am very active and my bunion and toes were interfering with enjoying my hikes and I was going through shoes all too quickly. After going over some options and listening to his options and options, I had a Bunion Osteotomy on my R foot. I had the surgery in April of 2026 and back to walking 4+miles by the end of June. Dr. Kramer set realistic expectations and did a wonderful job with the surgery. A little more hardware than I expected, but this will not reoccur. He was available for any questions or concerns, Checked in on me post op to make sure pain was well controlled. It is not an easy surgery, time was needed off from my "on my feet all day" job and driving was sidelined since it was my driving foot...but he made it as easy as it could be. I would highly recommend Dr. Kramer without reservation to anyone considering this surgery.

Dr. Kramer has been awesome! Had a chronic toe/foot problem that he fixed by fusing the joint. I am in my second month of recovery and it’s feeling great. Several of my other physical discomforts are also improving as I’m recovering from the surgery. Who knew that a toe could have such a big impact on the entire body. Yessica has also been great with all the appointments, communications and information. Recovery has been difficult at times, but totally worth it and no one I’d rather go through it with than the team at Carriero Foot and Ankle!

Dr. Kramer did an excellent job on my achilles tendon surgery. It has only been 12 weeks and you can barely see my scar. His post operative care was excellent as well. He is caring and supportive.

From the time of my very 1st appointment, I found this practice to be most welcoming and supportive. Dr. Kramer, to this day (6-mths post surgery), has been patient and with clear explanations to my inquiries and with my concerns. Most importantly, are the positive results of my procedure to eliminate bone spurs + an arthritic joint of my foot big toe. I happily & highly recommend this practice, they have earned the 5-stars.

It is indeed my pleasure to write a review on Dr. Zachary Kramer, DPM, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Carriero Foot and Ankle, Inc., in the Scripps Encinitas Hospital medical center area. I never felt more comfortable talking about my surgery needs for the Mortons Neuroma in my left foot. I was in extreme pain and it was limiting my walking ability. I searched far and wide to find someone I could trust. I made the correct decision. I was very impressed with his in-office discussions with me about the surgery and the after-effects of the surgery. Dr. Kramer makes you feel so understood and offers empathy to the patient in pain. Dr. Kramer's excellent surgical skills had me back on my feet in a very short time. Make a "consultation appointment" for any of your foot needs - including surgery - with Dr. Zachary Kramer. You will not be disappointed. His office staff is amazing as well.

Not enough words to describe my gratitude for being referred to Dr. Carriero and Dr. Kramer. An extraordinarily talented and caring team dedicated in every respect. As evident from my initial visit, through prehab, surgery, and rehab their kindness, communication, guidance, and support have been truly remarkable.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had Dr. Zack Kramer as my surgeon and aftercare doctor, and I highly recommend him. Dr. Kramer is not only kind, polite, and patient, but also exceptionally professional. He takes the time to listen, discuss my injury, and explain my care in a way that’s easy to understand. Additionally, his office administrator, Yessica, is a true asset. She is always polite, with a warm demeanor, and maintains a professional, caring approach with patients. If I could give Dr. Kramer more than 5 stars, I absolutely would, as five just isn’t enough.
